Review/Tutorial: NuMe “Curl Jam” Set,Thermal Defense Heat Protectant, & Repair Intense Oil

Ever since I’ve had an online presence creating makeup tutorials, I’ve been asked a plethora of questions pertaining to my hair.  Some of the most common ones are what products I use in my hair, and how I curl my hair.  Today I am coming to you with an in depth video in which I am reviewing and giving a demo on three products from NuMe Professional Styling Products.  I first heard of NuMe from a fellow YouTuber, after I had been on the market for a curling wand.  I previously have used curling irons, but wanted to invest in a wand (sans the iron clamp), which would not only give me nicer and longer lasting curls, but use less heat on my hair.  I must say I LOVE my purchase, the video and this post were not sponsored in any way, and the products were bought with my own money.

What I purchased(Picture Source) Click on pictures to purchase:

NuMe Curl Jam Set in Hot Pink Zebra Print

  • This Curl Jam Set by NuMe is originally listed as $249, but then was slashed down to $189.  To make things even sweeter, there is almost always a coupon code floating around the internet (via NuMe’s Facebook page or a YouTube guru’s video) for 60% off making it $79!!! “NuMe’s All New Curl Jam set will cover all of your needs with the Fashionista Flat Iron and the Tri-fect (3 in one digital curling wand) Smooth it out with our best selling Fashionista Tourmaline Infused Ceramic Iron, delivering incredible quality and precision with infrared heat and negative ion technology. Curl it up with the 3 in one digital curling wand, with 3 barrel sizes, 19mm, 25mm and 32mm, reinvented for the most demanding styling and long-lasting hold.” You are paying $79 for what is essentially THREE different curling wands, and a matching ceramic flat iron in an adorable pattern.  Need I say more? ! This is an essential set for anyone who is interested in investing in quality hair products to use at home.

NuMe Thermal Defense Spray
  • How much does thermal “insurance” go for your hair these days? $29 according to NuMe.  “The fantastic Thermal Defense by NuMe protects your hair from routine heat styling while actually optimizing the effectiveness of your heat styling method. With our lightweight and non-greasy formula, it’s farewell frizz and frying! Your hair will be wonderfully manageable and style-ready, limiting the amount of product you need for your ‘do.”  So far I am happy with the results I am receiving with this product.  I normally would have been due for a salon visit to get a trim, but I am able to skip a visit (to save money and allow my hair my growing time).

Pure Remedy Intense Repair Oil
  • At $49.99 for 3.4 oz’s, the Repair Intense Oil from NuMe’s Pure Remedy line packs a powerful punch.  NuMe lists this product as a “weightless, nutrient-rich oil formulated with moisturizing shea butter, Jojoba, and grapeseed oil rich in proteins and minerals, the vital nutrients in this beneficial oil strengthen damaged an over-processed tresses for shiny, smooth, friz-free hair.”  I am an avid hair oil user, and I have to say– I am really impressed with this one.  It’s lighter then other well known hair oils, but the ends of my hair still feel nourished.  My only CON for this product is the design of the packing.  The opening is large for an oil in my opinion, and could have been designed better.

Make sure to follow NuMe Products on FaceBook to stay up to date with there latest coupon codes.  The one I used only worked on my Curl Jam Set (not the spray and oil), was for 60% off my set–which is amazing!! Try code (holiday60) at checkout to see if it still works for you!

My video which will answer any questions pertaining to the products used, and how I use them:

Hope you enjoy, and Happy Holidays!! xo -Lauren

What a wonderful tutorial ! Clearly explains and demonstrates the proper usage and technique for this curling wand and hair style. Also, the background music was very pleasant. And Lauren, you look gorgeous : ) !

Hey, I just purchased the Curl Jam set and when I turn on my curling rod the screen says "ERR" and won't heat up. I can't find any directions for the curling wand. Do you have any suggestions? Thanks!

Hi Jayme: My best advice would be for you to contact the company directly, either via email or the company's FaceBook page. The company seems to be really engaged with customers/fans of the brand. They should take care of it =)
